Changing Tide counselors come to South Fortuna Elementary campus weekly to see children and families during school time.

Humboldt County's Department of Health and Human Services Children Youth and Family Services(CYFS) CYFS counseling services come to The Fortuna Elementary School District's Family Resource Center  to counsel children and their Families. With parent permission and the completion of an interview with the parent/s, CYFS will  counsel Children while at school. The District's Family Resource Center is on the South Fortuna Elementary School Campus. The Family Resource Center is available on school days. Many resources are  Available to families; computers to make application for Cal  Fresh and other programs, parenting books, children's books On various topics, Medi-Cal and Healthy Family Insurance application Counseling services and much more.  Please stop by and  Introduce yourself to the AmeriCorps (Valerie) She has an Office in the FRC. She will assist you in Finding resources that may meet your needs.
