| The Dick Niclai Memorial Post Season Basketball Tournament is dedicated to the memory of a coach who really cared about the young people of the North Coast. The 1st Annual Niclai Tournament was held before a packed Humboldt State University Gymnasium. Basketball fans were turned away at the door. The 2nd Annual Dick Nicali Memorial Tournament has Boys playing one night and the Girls on the other night. Still the gymnasium is packed. |

January 01, 2001) The tournament make up has changed. A few of the Big 5 teams and Little Six teams have been dominating the both the Big 5 and Little 6 for several years. The format now has the strongest teams in either the Big 5 or Little 6 playing each other during the Niclia Tournament. |
