Global IQ Quiz
GET READY TO TEST YOUR KNOWLEDGE OF THE WORLD!
The Department of State and the Department of Education are pleased to partner with the National Geographic Society, which has provided questions from previous National Geographic Bee competitions for this year's Global IQ Quiz.
The Global IQ Quiz will change periodically, and follow general subject areas (continents, world culture, etc.) Quizzes will be archived in the printable version only.
Invite an AFS exchange student to speak in your class. You can request that you have one or two for the time you select and AFS will arrange the transportation.

Youth Exchange and Study Program (YES)
YES is an innovative high school exchange program funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. This public diplomacy initiative builds bridges of international understanding, especially between Americans and people in countries with significant Muslim populations. Sequoia Chamber Music Workshop
Sequoia accepts 55-65 intermediate and advanced students with strong sight-reading skills, ages 12 to 20, for each week. The workshop accepts players of violin, viola, cello, bass, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and French horn. Pianists with exceptionally good reading skills are also encouraged to apply.

The Secret Garden by Marsha Norman, Music by Lucy Simon, Original story by Frances Hodgson Burnett (the classic children’s story) The Secret Garden is a wonderful musical full of breathtaking songs, based upon the 1909 children's novel. Set in 1906, a young girl is forced to move to England from colonial India. She discovers a hidden and neglected garden and, bravely overcoming the resistance of her family, nurses it back to life, bringing love and hope to her invalid cousin and uncle.
