Jacoby Creek School Athletics - Fall Season
Cross Country (Sept. - Mid. Oct.)
Boys & Girls -6th-8th grade (Younger grades may participate with parental supervision) -Practices are held afterschool @ JCS and around the community -Races may be held in Fortuna, Eureka, Arcata, and McKinleyville - 4-6 races during the season -student athletes: -must have a signed “JCS Athletic Training Contract” -are responsible for their own transportation to races (Carpools may be available)
Golf (Sept. - Mid. Oct.)
Boys & Girls -6th-8th grade -Practices are held afterschool @ Baywood Country Club -Tournaments may be held in Fortuna, Eureka, Arcata and McKinleyville, and Willow Creek - 4-6 tournaments during the season -student athletes: -must have a signed “JCS Athletic Training Contract” -should uses their own golf equipment (clubs may be available upon request) - are responsible for their own transportation to practices and tournaments (Carpools may be available)
Soccer (Sept. - Mid. Oct.)
Boys & Girls -6th-8th grade (1 co-ed team) -Practices and Home games are held afterschool @ the Arcata Sports Complex -League games (Bay League- Eureka, Arcata, and McKinleyville) will be played on Tues. and/or Thurs. -student athletes: -must have a signed “JCS Athletic Training Contract” - are responsible for their own transportation to practices and games (Carpools may be available)
Volleyball (Sept. - Mid. Oct.)
Girls -7th and 8th grade (2 teams) -Practices and Home games are held afterschool in the JCS Gym -League games (Bay League- Eureka, Arcata, and McKinleyville) will be played on Tues. and/or Thurs. -Tournaments: 1-3 weekend tournaments are held during the season -student athletes: -must have a signed “JCS Athletic Training Contract” - are responsible for their own transportation to practices and games (Carpools may be available)
Girls Basketball (Mid. Oct.- Dec.)
Girls -5th-8th grade (4 teams) -Practices and Home games are held afterschool in the JCS Gym -League games for 6th, 7th, 8th (Bay League- Eureka, Arcata, and McKinleyville) will be played on Tues. and/or Thurs. -5th grade game schedule TBA -Tournaments: 1-4 weekend tournaments are held during the season -student athletes: -must have a signed “JCS Athletic Training Contract” - are responsible for their own transportation to practices and games (Carpools may be available)
Winter Season Boys Basketball (End of Dec.-March)
