English Classes/Clases de Inglés
Pacific Union School is hosting two, seven-week sessions of English classes sponsored by College of the Redwoods and the Humboldt County Office of Education. The classes are FREE and childcare is provided. They take place on Mondays and Tuesdays from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm in Room 17.
Se ofrecen las clases sin costo y habrá cuidado de niños. Lunes y martes a las 6:00 – 8:00 de la tarde en la escuela Pacific Union, 3001 Janes Road, Arcata, salón 17.
Parent Project - Loving Solutions parenting classes every Thursday night beginning February 27th in the library. Childcare and snacks provided. Contact Krista Sanders or Mila Wight for more informaiton at 822-4619.
PTO meeting - March 4th at 6:00 pm in Daycare Room 31. Childcare provided.
Pacific Union Board of Trustees Meeting - March 12th, 6:00 pm in the Computer Lab.
PTO Pizza Fundraiser at Round Table Pizz; 5000 Valley West Blvd. - March 12 from 4:00 - 10:00 pm, dine-in, take-out or delivery.
PTO Family Skating Party - March 15th, 11:30 - 1:30, Blue Lake Roller Rink. Space is limited. Get forms to sign up at school.
School Site Council - March 25th, 3:30 pm, in the Principal's Conference Room.

Welcome to Pacific Union School
We are extremely proud of our K-8 community-based school district. We are fortunate to have a caring, dedicated staff, supportive parents/guardians, and wonderful students. We also have strong partnerships with Humboldt State University, Arcata Parks and Recreation and our business community. Our excellent and comprehensive academic programs interwoven with fine arts and music provide a rich student-centered experience for all students. New Information for Parents - Immunizations required!
Students entering California schools for the2011-12 school year as 7th and 8th graders are required to have a TDAP(booster) vaccine on or after the 10th birthday. A Booster shot will protect you child against the ongoing threat of pertussis (whooping cough) and meet a new school requirement that begins in the 2011-12 school year, California Assembly Bill 354.
Proof of vaccination can be faxed by your health care provider to the school at 822-0129.
