Humboldt Educare Preschool

   Humboldt Educare began as a non-profit corporation in 1979 providing a quality preschool experience for children. We are open 7:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. providing flexibility for working parents. We offer full day care service including a morning (9:a.m. to noon) and an afternoon (2 -5 p.m.) preschool session.

   We are licensed for 24 children, ages 2 - 5 years. Our highly qualified teachers and assistant teachers from Humboldt State University's work study program provide an environment small enough for individual attention while providing valuable social experiences.

   Our rich and nurturing environment allows children to interact with their peers and explore learning materials. The day has a  balance between structured activities and activities the children choose. We feel strongly that young children need the opportunity to choose their own activities in order to learn self-reliance, initiative, and time to practice social skills.

   Our goal is to develop in each child a positive attitude and eagerness for experience by providing a  rich, challenging, and warm environment staffed by understanding and flexible adults.
