Humboldt County Office of Education operates two regional special education programs:

Glen Paul School
A self-contained school housing special day classes serving severely- and multiply-handicapped students ages three to twenty-two. Off-site classrooms are located on local school campuses.

Special Beginnings
Providing itinerant services to Early Start eligible infants and toddlers, itinerant services to learning handicapped preschool children, and specialized special day classes for preschool children with a diagnosis of autism.
