Anatomy and Physiology for Sports Medicine is intended to cover the information needed for entry into the Health/Medical fields. The main focus is homeostasis, what affects it and how our bodies react. Topics include: 1) generic cell structure and function, 2) the circulatory and respiratory system, the muscular and skeletal system, lymphatic and immune systems, digestion and nutrition, and the CNS/PNS. All units are connected to the health care system via realistic examples and exploration of disease and illness. This course meets the requirements as a Lab Science for UC purposes.
